It’s all about me
Okay so now we’ve got my background sorted, I thought I’d give you a bit of a glimpse as to what I’m like as a person as well, not just what I do and where I’m coming from. So here goes…
About a month ago I had the travel bug, but I’ve got that under wraps now. It may be back soon though, but I realise I need more experience before I can consider working overseas. My ideal place to go would be Europe. Besides the obvious (family being there), there are so many countries there I’d love to visit! Italy, France, Greece, Denmark, Germany, the list goes on! With my very first IT job (the SAP project), I had the opportunity to travel to Vancouver, Canada. I was there for 3 weeks and had the time of my life! Such a beautiful country! I even got to go skiing for the first time ever! Didn’t fall over though so I was a bit disappointed! You dont really experience skiing to the full if you don’t fall over on your arse at least once!
hehe. I’d definitely love to get back there one day!
I’ve got relatives in Canada also! As well as Slovakia, Austria and San Francisco. We’re a bit all over the place! My immediate family in Australia, is simply me, my parents and my little sister Gina. She’s 13 – yep we’ve got a 9yr and 9month age gap between us to the day! My parents and I were all born in Hungary, Gina was born here. We’re both still fluent in Hungarian though which I’m so happy about. Otherwise, I couldn’t communicate with 98% of my family! As I was growing up, we always spoke Hungarian at home, and when I got to a certain age I decided to teach myself to read and write. With a basic understanding of the language, it was easy for me to pick up the literary side of it. Basically, you spell words how you pronounce them. In that respect it was easy to pick up. No silent letters!
Bit of history of my parents. My mum’s grew up in the country and my dad grew up in the city. They met in Budapest when my dad applied for a job at my mums work place. Oh so romantic! I’m yet to have my own little love story but there’s plenty of time for that! So anyway, back to my point. I think having parents with two such different backgrounds, provided me with a deep appreciation for both. I’m not quite a city girl, but you couldn’t call me country either! I love the city! The shops (of course!), the food the people! But I also love the country! The beautiful scenery, the animals and the peaceful life! You can definitely call me an animal lover!
Growing up, my family always had lots of animals. Lots of cats, dogs, birds and even fish! Although the fish were more my dads obsession. Currently I’ve got a Maltese pup called Benny. He’s the most gorgeous little thing. Okay so he’s not a pup. He’s around 8years old now, but still looks and a lot of the time acts like a puppy!
Gosh there are so many other things that make up me and my life, but I guess writing them all on here would be too easy! Gotta keep some mystery yea?
